How Toolsly.in handles data — in plain language

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This is the privacy policy for Toolsly.in (“we”, “our”, “us”), covering the website at https://toolsly.in. It explains what information is collected when you use the site, who collects it, and what choices you have.

The short version: our tools don’t need your data. Every calculator runs inside your own browser, so what you type into a tool never reaches us. The only data involved is the standard analytics and advertising data described below — and for the cookies that aren’t essential, we ask before they load.

1. Information collected

  • Information you provide: None is required. There are no accounts, logins or sign-up forms — every tool works without you entering any personal details. If you email us, we’ll have whatever you choose to put in that email, and nothing more.
  • What you type into a tool: Nothing is sent to us. Calculations happen locally in your browser and the inputs are never transmitted or stored on our servers.
  • Technical data collected automatically: When you visit, standard technical information — approximate location (from your IP address), browser, device type, pages viewed and time on page — is processed by Google Analytics and by our hosting provider’s server logs. We don’t keep our own separate database of this.
  • Cookies: Used for two purposes only — understanding which tools get used (analytics) and showing ads (advertising). See section 5.

2. How this information is used

The data above is used to:

  • Keep the site running and see which tools people find useful, so we know what to improve or build next
  • Show advertising through Google AdSense, which helps keep every tool free
  • Spot and prevent abuse or fraudulent use of the site
  • Meet legal obligations where they apply

We do not sell your personal data, and we don’t use this data to build our own profile of you.

3. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. How Google uses data when you use our site is explained on Google’s partner sites page.

These advertising cookies rely on identifiers rather than your name or email — but under laws such as the GDPR and India’s DPDP Act, identifiers like these can still count as personal data, so we treat them that way.

You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ad Settings, or opt out of participating vendors at the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.

4. Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, through cookies that produce aggregate usage reports. Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

5. Cookies and your consent

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use three kinds:

  • Essential: needed for the site to work. These are always on.
  • Analytics: help us see how the site is used (Google Analytics).
  • Advertising: used to show ads (Google AdSense).

Analytics and advertising cookies are not essential, so where consent is required we ask for it before they load, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.

6. Affiliate links

Toolsly.in does not currently use affiliate links. In future we may work with affiliate partners — meaning some links could earn us a commission, at no extra cost to you, if you click them and then buy or sign up. If we do, we’ll only point to things we actually think are useful, and this policy will be updated to reflect it.

7. Third-party links

The site links out to other websites we don’t control. We’re not responsible for their content or how they handle data — it’s worth reading their own privacy policies when you visit them.

8. How data is kept secure

The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted. We hold very little personal data ourselves, and what our providers process on our behalf (Google, our host) is covered by their own security measures. No method of transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the limited data involved.

9. Data retention

Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics configuration, after which Google deletes or aggregates it; hosting server logs are rotated regularly by our host. Because tool inputs never reach our servers, there’s nothing there for us to retain.

10. Children’s privacy

Toolsly.in isn’t aimed at children. Under India’s DPDP Act, anyone under 18 is treated as a child, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from under-18s. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.

11. Your rights

If you’re in India (DPDP Act), the EU or UK (GDPR), or California (CCPA), you have rights to access the data held about you, correct it, ask for it to be deleted, and opt out of personalised advertising. Since we hold almost no personal data ourselves, most requests really come down to the cookies — which you can clear or decline at any time. To raise a request or a grievance, email us using the address below.

12. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update the date near the top. Anything material will be flagged on the page itself rather than changed quietly.
